NatéoSanté formalizes its partnership with Clean Hospitals

Since its creation, the driving force behind NatéoSanté has been the conviction to act for the health and well-being of all. The authenticity of this commitment is demonstrated on a daily basis with our partners and the professionals who trust us. NatéoSanté, which has already equipped many healthcare facilities, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic (NatéoSanté has been recognised as a company participating in the national effort to combat the COVID virus by French Healthcare), works every day to protect patients and healthcare staff. As the transmission of micro-organisms (viruses and bacteria) by air is scientifically proven, it is essential to put the management of indoor air quality (IAQ) in hospitals at the forefront.

As an expert in indoor air quality, NatéoSanté pursues its mission on a daily basis to raise awareness in hospitals and, more generally, in the medical sector. This commitment now takes on a new dimension through our involvement with Clean Hospitals, which was made official during the Interclean 2022 exhibition in Amsterdam.

What is Clean Hospitals?

Clean Hospitals is a global network for improving environmental health practices in healthcare facilities. It is a unique alliance of private and public stakeholders from around the globe who share their experience and expertise in this area. Its members work closely together to promote and support environmental hygiene in hospitals through training, specialist working groups and committees.

The network is chaired by Prof. Didier Pittet, a renowned infectious diseases physician and epidemiologist, specialising in hand hygiene and infection control. Known for having discovered that hydroalcoholic solutions were more effective than handwashing with soap in hospital hygiene, Prof. Pittet gave this discovery to the WHO to allow its democratisation.

What are the missions of Clean Hospitals?

The objectives of Clean Hospitals are to raise awareness, look at research, innovation and new hospital methods, and support training to make healthcare facilities safer through improved environmental hygiene. Clean Hospitals works for a continuous improvement of hygiene protocols, especially in terms of standards, thanks to its collective strengths, while anticipating future issues.

The main mission of Clean Hospitals is to increase patient safety and draw international attention to the need to focus on environmental hygiene in hospitals. The aim is to reduce the rate of healthcare-associated infections and protect hospital staff. Its main areas of interest are surface, water and air hygiene.

It is therefore quite natural that NatéoSanté has chosen to become a member of this organisation to support research in this field and to raise awareness of the importance of good IAQ in hospitals and clinics. NatéoSanté will work alongside Clean Hospitals to integrate air treatment into the overall hospital hygiene practices and protocols.

This commitment completes a process of raising awareness of the impacts of poor IAQ on health, already underway with the general public alongside the Fondation du Souffle in France since 2021.
