Air and Dust Analysis – Post-Fire

Purpose of the kit

• Detect the presence of aromatic VOCs (BTEX, naphthalene) andpolycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) resulting from combustion.

• Measure contamination in the area affected by the fire and in adjacent rooms (soot that has seeped in).

• Verify the effectiveness of post-disaster cleaning and decontamination operations.

• Inform occupants about health risks and provide guidance on corrective actions (air, surfaces, materials).

Pollutants analyzed

• BTEX + Naphthalene: Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylenes, and Naphthalene

• 18 PAHs: various polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, among the most hazardous post-combustion compounds

• Important: One kit is required for each sample to be analyzed.

Usage & Process

1. Collect air samples using the VOC badge or Dustream filter according to the prescribed method.

2. Pack the samples carefully, fill out the form, and return them in the envelope provided

3. The analysis is conducted rigorously, in accordance with COFRAC standards.

4. Within 15 business days (or 5 days with the “Express” option), you will receive a comprehensive report detailing concentrations, toxic risks, and recommendations.
