Not everything can claim to be "Made in France"

Brands cannot affix a "Made in France" label to their products without complying with a set of rules and standards established by national and European laws.

In order to claim that its products are made in France, a company must ensure that they meet the non-preferential rules of origin established by the French Customs Code and the European Union. These rules determine a product’s “nationality” when inputs from multiple countries are used in its manufacture.
